Post graduate studies in marine biotechnology are extremely important in the present context of sustainably converting the biological material into bioproducts and processes for generating employment opportunities and improving economy. The ocean occupies two-third of the earth with more than 0.5 million biological species and numerable resources of high economic value. Bioprospecting in the marine environment would be remarkable for development of many biotech based industries. In this regard, the course will provide basic knowledge, skill and talents to the students on techniques pertaining to marine biotechnology. | |
