| Qualifications |
Educational qualifications : Pass in (10+2) or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and English as separate subjects with a PCM average of not less than 60%

The candidate should have obtained with minimum of 50% marks in English language at 10th or 12th std or in the Degree/Diploma course conducted by recgognized Board or any University. |
| Medical Standard |
Candidates should be physically fit for sea service under standard norms, with eyesight 6/12 both eyes or 6/9 in better eye,6/18 in other eye, and with no colour blindness. |
