This unique sector-specific management education programme, which is the first of its kind in Asia, focuses on the needs of the appropriate management education and training in the areas of Shipping and logistics management. The MBA programme is designed to equip students with adequate skills and knowledge in general management, functional specialization in the areas of Marketing, Finance, Human Resources & Information Technology and with sectoral specialisation in shipping and logistics management. The Management Studies Department of Academy of Maritime Education and Training, Chennai, India (AMET) has been conducting Post Graduate level Management Education programmes since 2001 & has developed courses to suit the industry requirements. |

| Qualifications |
1. Any degree from a recognized University with 50 % marks. (OR)
2.Mariners holding the following professional qualifications obtained after a minimum duration of study-cum-training of six years after 10 + 2 leading to.
a) Master Foreign Going Certificate of Competency
b) First Class Motor or Steam or Combined (Chief Engineer) Certificate of Competency issued by the Directorate General of Shipping, Ministry of Shipping, Government of India or its counterparts in other countries. |
| Admission Test |
CAT / MAT / XAT / ATMA / JMET / TANCET scores will be accepted. If a candidate has not taken any of the above tests, he / she will be asked to appear for a test in Chennai. |
| Personal Interview / Group Discussion |
Personal interview / Group discussion will be held in the following locations: Chennai / Bangalore / Hyderabad / Mumbai / New Delhi / Calcutta / Ranchi. |
| Job Prospects |
On successful completion of this unique sector-specific MANAGEMENT programme, designed to impart knowledge of General Management, Information Technology, with specialization in Shipping and Port Management, candidates will be eligible to occupy Managerial positions in Shipping
Companies, in Agency Houses, Clearing and Forwarding (C&F) Firms, Export/Import Houses, large manufacturing and trading concerns, related Government Departments and undertakings and in Major Ports worldwide. |
