  Course Detail :  
     
  Leading to class IV Mechanical Engineer Officer Certificate of Competency, Awarded by the ministry of shipping, government of india, after six Months of sea service. This enables the cadets to become marine Engineers on board merchant naval ships worldwide.

  Course Approval This course is approved by the Director General of Shipping, Ministry of Shipping, Government of India.  
     
  Duration of the Course : One Year  
     
  Eligibility for the Course :  
     
 
 Age Limit Maximum 24 years of age at the time of commencement of the course.
 Qualifications B.E (Mechanical) Engineering / Naval Arch. with minimum 50% marks in final year and with minimum 50% marks in English language at 10th or 12th or in Degree Exam.
 Medical  Standard Candidates should be medically fit for sea service under standard norms, with eyesight 6/12 both eyes or 6/9 in better eye,6/18 in other eye, and with no colour blindness

Note : At the time of joining, candidates should be in possession of uniforms, as per list provided by the Academy, Books and drawing equipment will be provided by the Academy. 1. Cost of those items would be of Rs.15,000, which is to be paid by cash to AMET on selection, 2. Refundable Caution Deposit of Rs.5,000/- to be paid on selection.
