Earlier in the day, the Board of Advisors had a detailed 3 hours meeting with the top management of AMET when AMET future directions and 10 year vision and strategy was discussed. In the afternoon, AMET cadets put up a great show of March Past and Guard of Honour, with the AMET Band in full support.
Capt.Ib Fruergaard gave away the Gold Medals for Best Officer like Qualities which were instituted in his name by AMET, to Academy Cadet Captain, Rushil Tandon (171 B) of B.E (Marine Engineering) who is placed with Shell Shipping, U.K. Academy Cadet Captain Vidyuth Narayan (159 A) of B.Sc (Nautical Science) bagged the Gold Medal from his batch, who is placed with Fleet Management, Hong Kong.
“Global Opportunities for Maritime India” was the theme for the evening te’te’ – a – te’te’ with the industry veterans of Chennai who turned up in large number to be audience to the words of wisdom of such great achievers who are on AMETs Board of Advisors and thoroughly relished the occasion. |
