| Capt. S. Bhardwaj, Vice Chancellor, AMET University, has on 15th February 2008, been awarded for Outstanding Contribution to Maritime Education and Training at the Shipping and Marine World Expo 2008 held at Mumbai.
He was the unanimous choice of the Awards jury that comprised very eminent personalities of the Indian Shipping industry, amongst many other contending nominees.
He received the award at the hands of The Maharashtra Minister for Ports and Shipping in the presence of Capt. J.C. Anand, Chairman of Indian Register of Shipping, who also headed the Awards jury.
The awards were presented at a glittering ceremony held at The ITC Grand Maratha at Mumbai.
